Self Registration – Logging in for
the First Time: In
order to use the online orientation program you need to register to create a
user account. To register, click the “click here to register” link on the login
page and follow the directions.
STEP 1: Complete the centralized modules
and post-tests.
Done annually: valid from July 15 to July 14 the following year.
a. Click on each Module from the top
horizontal toolbar and review the content in Modules 1 through 3. Use the left-side navigation bar within each
module to review all sub-sections within the module.
b. Click on the Post-Test link for each module (at the bottom of the module’s
left-side navigation bar) and complete the post-test for each module. You may
use the content in the modules to find the answers to the questions. You must
score 100% on the post-tests and may retake a test until a score of 100% is
achieved.
Note: You must log in to take a post-test or to continue a test that was
already started.
c. Complete the Electronic Acknowledgement
Form. You will be directed to this page after you have completed the Post-Tests.
d. Complete the Online Orientation
evaluation. You will be directed to this page after you have completed the
Electronic Acknowledgement Form.
e. Print a copy of the Certificate of
Completion upon successful passing of Module 1– 3 for your records.
STEP 2: Submit your contact information
to your assigned clinical placement facility.
Done prior to each clinical
placement. You need to inform your clinical placement site that you have
completed Modules 1 through 3. You must complete Steps 2 and 3 for EVERY clinical placement you are assigned.
a. As soon as you know your clinical assignment,
log in to the site and submit your contact information by clicking the link
listed for Step 2.
b. Select the health care organization
for your clinical placement from the drop down menu and complete the required
information below, then click submit. This will add the placement assignment to
your assignment list.
Note: By hitting submit, you give permission for
your name, student ID, and email address to be provided to the health care
organization where you will have clinical.
STEP 3: Review all health care facility-specific material.
Done prior to each clinical placement.
a. After you have added your placement
assignment to your assignment list (as per Step 2), click on the health care organization’s
name for the placement assignment you have just added (the newly added health
care organization’s name will be highlighted). This will take you to the
facility-specific page for this organization.
b. Review all of the health care organization’s
facility-specific orientation material. Some of this material may open in a new
browser window.
c. Complete the
facility-specific requirements and submit to your clinical instructor according
to your school’s guidelines.
